Its a new Flash for a new Millenium!..uh, well okay its a new version of the old Flash, Anyway, this new version of Jay Garrick was specifically made for the new JSA because I needed an older looking Jay of course.
The base is a JLA Martian Manhunter and the head is a JLA Superman. I filled in a few of the ‘rippling muscles’ on the Martian Manhunter figure to smooth it out a bit, ol’ Jay just is not that cut. His face also needed to show some signs of aging as well which was done in the paint stage by hollowing out the cheek & eye areas with shading and also by adding age lines with a color pencil.
The helmet is a combination of the bottom of a plastic paint pallet and the mouthpiece of a toy bubble blower used for the rim. The wings on the boots are the ankle wings from ToyBiz Namor.
