Lots go to over on this one so stay with me...General Zod uses a DC Direct Bizarro body and a DCD Brainiac head which has been very heavily modified. The head is a combination of flat and tubed styrene, sculpting with Milliput and some tubing I found in my fodder bin.  
The main cape is from a DCD Mr.Miracle and the top was cut from a Yu-Yu Hakusho figure and then more sculpting was done around that to unify the entire cape. The 'Z'  circles are also from the Mr.Miracle, the 'Z's themselves are decoupaged on. His skirt is from a Mystery Men 'Bowler' figure. His chest and stomach were smoothed out with Milliput to better match the skirt. The gauntlets and boots are enhanced with styrene and Milliput. 

The CHAIN MAIL! I spent months hitting fabric stores, surfing the web, experimenting with layers of styrene and as usual the solution was there from the start. I applied a thin layer of Milliput over each articulated section and then made rows of indentations with the edge of a sculpting tool. Yes it was tedious but it achieved the results I was looking for. A metallic red paint along with a black wash was applied to make a more dramatic effect. This commissioned custom was a long time in the making, almost a year, it was worth it.
